In preparation for MLK Days of Service, help Community Service Programs honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream by contributing to the ultimate Sense of Freedom. You can do this in two ways:
1. Submit a visual representation of what YOU believe illustrates freedom. Both photographs and artwork are acceptable and should be respectful, appropriate, and captivating. These pieces will be displayed on the second floor of Russell House during MLK Week.
2. Send us your best poem, monologue, or powerful original spoken pieces about your interpretation of Dr. King’s dreams, legacy, and ideals, especially concerning freedom and equality for all. The 5 best writers will be selected to perform their piece on Monday, January 21st in the Russell House Theater in Hearing Yesterday’s Struggle, Envisioning Tomorrow’s Future, part of the Community Service Programs MLK Week Event Series.
