Nominate students for Multicultural Student Affairs awards

Please nominate eligible and deserving students for an OMSA Award that recognizes students for their achievements and contributions in academics, leadership, service, and diversity initiatives. Please visit to nominate students for any of the awards listed below. Nominations are due Thursday, March 28, 2013.

Changing the Face of USC Diversity Award: This award recognizes students who promote awareness of cultural and diversity issues on campus and in the community and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Ralph E. Johnson Exemplary Leadership Award: This award is given to students who are recognized as outstanding leaders and demonstrate involvement in campus activities with a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Willie L. Harriford Outstanding Service Award: This award recognizes a student who serves to encourage students to actively seek opportunities to address and serve the needs of the African-American community as well as the Columbia community in its entirety with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

I. DeQuincey Newman Outstanding Student Award: This award recognizes a senior who has displayed leadership, participated in university and community organizations and activities, and contributes to the improvement of minority student life at USC with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. These are not necessarily student officers, but are leaders through their actions.
