The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is excited to announce that this year marks our 11th year of showcasing students’ beyond the classroom experiences! Last year, we had almost 300 students participate in Discovery Day with everything from oral presentations to posters to creative presentations. This year, we will need all the help we can get to make the event even more successful.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with Discovery Day April 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Russell House. Volunteers help us with everything from passing out stickers to helping students set up their posters to manning the registration desk. And, as a special thank you, we have FREE lunch if you can help for at least two hours and visit one oral/poster presentation.
Please send an email to OUR (email@example.com) with times that you (and anyone in your office) are available to volunteer. Also, let me know if you would like to request a particular task. Feel free to forward this email to anyone and everyone that might be interested in helping out.
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions regarding OUR or Discovery Day.
