This small-group session is for staff who are considering nominating programs for NASPA Excellence Awards
Stuart Hunter, associate vice president for University 101 Programs and the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, and Maegan Gudridge, communications director for Student Affairs and Academic Support, will facilitate. Stuart and Maegan both have submitted successful awards applications, and they’ll share what they learned in the process. Stuart has served as a NASPA awards juror and will reveal hints and tips about what reviewers are looking for in a successful nomination.
Attendees also can exchange ideas, ask questions and share strategies for preparing awards applications, which traditionally are due Oct. 15.
