Schedule a Nutrition Consultation

Sit down with a registered dietitian and work together to develop individualized goals centered on your nutrition and diet habits. Campus Wellness offers students, faculty and staff one-on-one nutrition counseling for all nutrition-related needs including weight management, eating disorders, medical conditions and sports nutrition.

Appointments are scheduled from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Initial appointments are one hour and follow-ups are one half hour. On your first visit, please bring a completed food record form with you. Schedule appointments online at MyHealthSpace at, or call 803-777-3175.

Consultations are available to students, faculty and staff. Full-time students are free; part-time students, faculty and staff may be seen for a fee. Check with the Thomson Student Health Center business office for current fees at (803) 777-3174

Eat Locally with On Campus Produce Delivery

Healthy Carolina has partnered with two locally owned produce delivery companies, Pinckney’s Produce and AFRESH! These companies will be delivering healthy produce right here on campus for USC faculty, staff, and students. To see approximately how much weekly produce you would receive for the different share sizes and for pricing information, click here. On Campus produce delivery is a convenient way for the USC community to purchase locally grown food and to eat healthier!

To sign-up for a share, complete the order form on Pinckney’s website by clicking here. When selecting your drop site, mark “Columbia – USC Learning Center for Sustainable Futures” as your selection.

Planning an International Jet Setting Trip in the future?

Schedule an appointment with the USC travel clinic. The clinic offers all recommended travel vaccines, including Yellow Fever, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A. Be sure to book your appointments at least two months prior to your trip. Appointments can last up to one hour plus an additional appointment with a GMC provider if you need a Malaria pill prescription. For more information and fees associated with your visit click here.

Transfer your Prescriptions!

The pharmacy can fill prescriptions written by doctors outside of the health center, in or out of state. Bring in the original prescription, or have your physician telephone or fax your prescription to us and pick up it up right here on campus.  Mindful Monday: August 5th, 2013

All students, faculty and staff are invited to drop-in for a mindful meditation practice on Monday August 5th. The meditation will be held in room 309 of the Russell House from 12:15-1pm. These sessions provide an opportunity to improve your focus and attention and become more centered and grounded in your daily routine. If you’re interested in practicing or continuing to develop inner health or well-being, this meditation is for you! No registration is required. Visit for more information.
