What’s the Big Deal About Sweet Tea?!

The Student Success Center connects out-of-state undergraduate students to academic & student support services that promote successful transitions into the University of South Carolina. Additionally, through our nationally recognized seminar, What’s the Big Deal About Sweet Tea?!, we educate out-of-state students on the history and traditions of South Carolina as well as introduce them to Southern culture. Additionally, through this seminar we offer out-of-state undergraduate students an opportunity for them to meet & connect with other out-of-state undergraduate students. This year, the Student Success Center is offering 4 What’s the Big Deal About Sweet Tea?! seminars during Carolina Welcome Week and in the residence halls. Below are the dates and Facebook events that you can send to new first-year students in your University 101 Class, Residence Hall, and any peer mentoring groups for first-year students you may coordinate or supervise.
