2014-2015 Orientation Leader Application Available

The Office of Orientation & Testing Services is in the process of recruiting and selecting Orientation Leaders. Orientation Leaders will serve as a critical component of the new expanded Orientation program, and we need your help in selecting eligible freshmen, sophomores, or juniors to fill these roles. These leaders are responsible for the successful integration of new students into the college environment by providing guidance to these students and their families during the transition period. As members of the Orientation team, the Orientation Leaders will facilitate Orientation activities such as small group meetings and perform skits/vignettes of new student issues. Orientation Leaders are expected to demonstrate knowledge of the university, its services, and campus resources to inform new students and families. Furthermore, they will serve as a role model to incoming students and represent the University of South Carolina in a positive, enthusiastic manner.

Please email this opportunity to student leaders who you believe would excel in this position. The applications are due on October 30th, 2013. There will also be several Orientation Leader Interest Meetings that potential candidates can attend to learn more about the position:

Thursday, October 3rd: 5:00pm in Russell House 315
Friday, October 11th: 4:00pm in the Russell House Theater

Applications are available online at www.sa.sc.edu/orientation and are due by October 30th. Completed applications should be turned into the Orientation Office in 345 Russell House. Feel free to distribute this information to any of your constituents that may work with prospective candidates.
