GARP 2014 and the GA Switch Process

If you or your office is interested in hiring HESA students for any open Graduate Assistantship positions for the 2014-2015 school year, please see below for several updates on GARP and the upcoming GA Switch Process.

Ø First-Year GA Switch Process:

The First-Year GA Switch Process allows for first-year students who are interested in having a different GA experience for their second year interview with offices who are interested in hiring second years for any open GA positions they will have for the 2014-2015 school year.

If you are interested in hiring a second year for any of your open GA positions, please contact Stephanie Suarez at for a list of the important dates pertaining to this process.

GARP will be officially held February 23, 2014 through February 25, 2014. We are currently working on finalizing the schedule for GARP and will send out more information on it once everything is finalized.

Ø Fall Employer Meeting:

This fall we will host an employer meeting for all offices who are participating in GARP to provide an introduction and overview of GARP. This meeting is optional and intended to provide updates about GARP 2014. It is also intended to also serve as an introduction to GARP and what it is all about for any university employers who have not hired through GARP or are unaware of the process. Additionally, we will answer questions about the logistics and timeline of the GARP process.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP via the following Google form:

The meeting will be held on Friday, November 15th at noon in the Career Center, room 634.
