USC service contributes more than $9.6 million to community

2013 service impact

University of South Carolina students, faculty and staff contributed more than $9.6 million in time and money during the 2012-13 academic year, according to the USC Community Service Report.

Based on information reported by members of the Carolina community, 23,194 volunteers gave their time to participate in community service for a total of 502,334 service hours. In addition, Gamecocks contributed $978,736 in monetary donations for a total estimated economic impact of $9,618,880.80.
