The Student Leadership and Diversity Conference (SLDC) is an annual conference held Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 9:30am – 4:30pm. This year’s theme is Find Your Fit, Unlock Your Future! This one day regional conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to interact with individuals from other schools in the region. SLDC trains and educates student leaders in essential leadership skills, assists them in developing their leadership identity, empowers them to work and lead in a diverse society, and prepares them to create methods to initiate sustainable positive change. The SLDC Planning Committee is currently seeking educational sessions in the following core competencies:

Foundations & Pillars for Success – sessions focused on “building our toolbox” with essential skills all leaders need to succeed

Leadership Development – sessions focused on developing student leadership identity, including values, vision, ethics, and purpose

Diversity Education – sessions focused on working and leading in a diverse society

Social Justice – sessions focused on initiatives and methods creating sustainable positive change

At least one presenter must be a full-time professional staff or faculty member. Online submission forms and more information about the conference can be found at: .
