Winner of the award for Best Human Rights Documentary at the Festival of Human Rights Films of South America (2013), “When Home Is the Street” documents the lives of street children in Mexico and Brazil and the healing power of love and forgiveness. Talkback following the 35-minute film will include Dr. Morris J. Blachman, Associate Dean at USC School of Medicine; Dr. Aleksandra Chauhan, J.D., Ph.D., Assistant Public Defender for Richland County; and Dr. Irene Rizzini, the primary consultant on the film and Director of the International Center for Research and Policy on Childhood, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
