Space is available in the new course, Stand-Up Carolina. This program is a Bystander Accountability initiative through the Office of Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention & Prevention.
By-stander accountability is used to train bystanders to take action to prevent sexual violence and interpersonal violence. One of the main ways that this is accomplished at the University of South Carolina is to increase awareness among the students, faculty and staff about how to become an accountable bystander. This presentation is designed to empower students, faculty and staff to change and challenge negative behaviors.
The course will be held from 1:00-4:30 p.m., on Thursday, July 17, at 1600 Hampton Street, Suite 101.
