Carolina’s Tobacco Treatment Program is a comprehensive program designed to assess an individual’s readiness to change by utilizing various motivational interviewing techniques and behavioral change strategies.
The program is composed of four in-person sessions. The first session is at least 60 minutes, with subsequent sessions that are shorter in length. The sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs and the length of each session may vary. The frequency of the four sessions is also based on an individual’s needs.
The program seeks to promote tobacco treatment among UofSC students, faculty and staff and prevent relapse among those trying to quit.
Participants will receive coaching from a trained Campus Wellness graduate assistant or coordinator. Completing an online assessment of how ready you are to quit is the first step for program participation.
