AmeriCorps Week set for March 23-28

AmeriCorps engages more than 80,000 men and women in intensive service each year through thousands of nonprofits, schools, public agencies and community and faith-based groups across the country. AmeriCorps members help communities tackle pressing problems while mobilizing more than 3.4 million volunteers for the organizations they serve. Members gain valuable professional, educational and life benefits, and the experience has a lasting impact on the members and the communities they serve.

AmeriCorps Week is celebrated to honor and recognize the commitment of AmeriCorps members and alumni by highlighting the extraordinary impact AmeriCorps makes across the nation every. The University of South Carolina is hosting a week of networking, service and informational recruitment events for the week of March 23-28 to highlight the engaging and exciting work of AmeriCorps on campus and the community and how anyone in the UofSC community can become a part of it. Please share with any student who may be interested in participating in an AmeriCorps program or any campus member who may be an alum.
