A series of events March 29 and 30 will examine “The Hunting Ground,” the 2015 documentary about sexual assault on U.S. college campuses.
UofSC will screen “The Hunting Ground” at 6 p.m. on March 29 in the USC Law School Auditorium. The film investigates institutional cover-up and the devastating effect it has on students and their families as it follows several undergraduate assault survivors, women and men, in their pursuit of justice.
A reception and panel discussion featuring director Kirby Dick will follow the film.
The next day, the Student Affairs and Academic Support Professional Development Team will host a special “debrief” session for employees of the division. Erin Kitchell, Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity, and Sarah Nevarez, Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, will facilitate the discussion, which will be 12-1 p.m. March 30 in the Career Center. Registration for this event is required.
