Get involved with Parents Weekend, Sept. 16-18

Parents Weekend at the University of South Carolina is an exciting time full of tradition, enthusiasm and Gamecock spirit! As we prepare for Parents Weekend 2016, which will be held Sept. 16-18, the Office of Parents Programs wants to showcase our campus by providing our students and their families with faculty and staff interaction, classroom experiences and opportunities to learn more about Carolina.

In an effort to highlight the academic and extracurricular components of life at Carolina, we invite you to participate in Parents Weekend this fall by hosting a reception, open house, drop-in or educational session or by opening your Friday classes to family members. Please note that educational sessions will be assigned space in the Russell House University Union, but for all other events, the host department will need to secure a location independently. In addition, if you already have an event, exhibit or other activity planned during Parents Weekend, please let us know so we can include it in the schedule. If you have never participated in Parents Weekend before, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Parents Programs staff with questions or ideas.

Be sure to submit your information for the Parents Weekend schedule of events. Please submit as much information as you can by June 6 so it will be online for parents to review before they register for the weekend. Registration is available for families June 13 at 9 a.m. through Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. on the Parents Program website. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to register early.

If you have questions or need more information, please email the Office of Parents Programs staff.
