Sustainable Carolina’s Green Office Certification team will host a summer Lunch and Learn on 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 in the Green Quad Learning Center.
Designed to help offices across campus learn about how they can become Green Office Certified, the Lunch and Learn is an interactive and informational session where students will explain the process of getting certified. This event is recommended for offices who have little to no experience with sustainable workplace habits and have not engaged in the Green Office Certification process extensively. However, any office is welcome to attend, either for a refresher course in sustainability or to ask questions about specific actions.
After our traditional Lunch and Learn presentation, Margaret Bounds, sustainability coordinator for University Housing, and Larry Cook, recycling coordinator for University Facilities, will lead a discussion about recycling to help clarify procedures on campus. All offices are welcome to attend the panel, even if they do not attend the first half of the event. The recycling discussion also will take place in the Green Quad Learning Center.
Light refreshments will be provided, but we ask all office representatives to bring their own lunch. RSVP online and for more information, visit the website or email Max Ciarlone (firstname.lastname@example.org).
