Hilary Brannon received the Junior League of Columbia’s Kinsey Black Jones Memorial Award, which recognizes an outstanding recent active member who has advanced the volunteer ideals of the Junior League of Columbia by epitomizing superlative service in her placement.

Rebecca Caldwell and Marjorie Riddle Duffie, Student Health Services, presented “Be Real. Be There. Mental Health Matters @UofSC: Developing a positive mental health communication campaign” at the Southern College Health Association, Orlando, Fla.

Dave Foster, Off-Campus Student Services, Student Life, was selected to participate in the NASPA New Professionals Institute, which will be held in June in San Antonio, Texas.

Maureen Grewe received the Junior League of Columbia’s Katharine Heath Manning Perry Award, which recognizes an active member in good standing who has excelled in community voluntarism and activism through her Junior League placements and through extensions of her Junior League of Columbia work and training.

Jackie Knight, Student Health Services, and Sarah King, public health, presented “Let’s Walk the Block: Assessing the Walkability of a College Campus’ Built Environment to Promote Physical Activity” at the Southern College Health Association, Orlando, Fla.

Jackie Knight, Student Health Services, and Dianna Colvin, public health and social work, presented “Expanding Capacity of Your Campus Farmers Market: Integrating Health Education into an Existing Nutritional Access Initiative” at the Southern College Health Association, Orlando, Fla.
